Without our own vehicle, we would have spent a significant amount of money on transfers and taxis, especially if you would like to move around Lapland and not stay in one town.

Lapland may look vast on the ma, and it is, but traveling between destinations is often easier than people expect. Thanks to well-maintained main roads, you can move from one place to another in just a few hours, depending on weather and driving conditions. Rovaniemi works as a natural hub, but nowadays you can also fly almost as easily to Kittilä, Enontekiö, or Ivalo. For example, driving from Rovaniemi to Levi (Kittilä) takes roughly two hours in normal winter conditions.
