Most asked questions

The Northern Lights are most visible from September to March, with the best chances on clear, dark nights between 10pm to 2am. I recommend venturing away from city lights and being patient for the best experience. Learn about avoiding common mistakes while hunting Northern Lights here!

Traditional Lappish dishes include reindeer meat, sautéed reindeer (poronkäristys), and salmon coocked on open fire. You also might want to try cloudberry jam, ‘squeaky cheese’!(leipäjuusto)

The Polar Night, or “Kaamos,” lasts for about a month in parts of Lapland, where the sun doesn’t rise above the horizon. While it can be challenging, and the magic of seeing the Northern Lights frequently make this time a lot easier. Extra vitamins sell well during this time.
